ABOUT ALEXIS HUNTER, ASID

Alexis Hunter is a graduate from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Interior Design. Alexis became a member of the American Society of Interior Designers in 1978. She worked at Browning Brothers and Rucker & Rucker before going out on her own. She is affiliated with the American Society of Interior Designers, the Texas Cultural Trust, and the Texas Women for the Arts.

Since her store's opening in 2013, Alexis Hunter Interiors features furniture, home decor, and interior design. She brings big city design into Corpus Christi with the newest and latest designs from markets across the country that cannot be found in run-of-the-mill retail stores. After closing the store in Spring 2020, Alexis is still an active practicing interior designer in Corpus Christi, Port Aransas, Rockport, and the surrounding Coastal Bend areas.

Alexis says “A beautiful room is like a beautiful painting that you live in”. Her goal is to create an atmosphere in your home or workplace that becomes an exciting space which brightens your day and inspires you. Although she caters to the client’s needs and preferences, Alexis specializes in luxury coastal homes here in Corpus Christi and the surrounding areas.
